Of course, it is always good to have an overall plan or strategy to achieve one’s objectives in life. There is that tendency to have an overdrive committment and yet we complain that we do not have that balanced lifestyle.  Wth the numerous variables that we encounter, it behooves us to focus - or better still superfocus - on what is at hand at the moment, and look at it from the big picture point of view, and to give our utmost attention and effort to them. 

The operative word is achieving a balanced lifestyle between the big picture and the essence of the small stuff in the process.  Integrating the two pieces together will lead to a better match and higher likelihood of success.

We can also learn from things that we encounter everyday.  Just today, my morning was made brighter by the sight of a young man who was so excited to find out he had reached the right direction to his school. His excitement was so contagious that I forgot all the worries that I was having about issues at work. You see, he was walking from the bus and had asked me for directions to his school to which I had told him was just around the block. 

What really took me by surprise was that look of hope that I saw in his face. The school is a technical school that teaches students on how to fix automobiles among other things.  The point is this young man is determined to make something out of his life and is willing to take whatever it takes to achieve his dream. I am sure he is on his way given the gleam in his eyes. I wished I had a camera handy at that time to capture the moment. I am sure you have your own stories to tell that make living life one day at a time worthwhile by getting the most positive experience out of it.
