Go local but don't forget global perspective Print E-mail

The internet has contributed a lot to globalization of information in that more number of people across the world have now access to data in ways that previously could have taken either much longer or much most costly.

The search for data may involve many ways, including via internet search portals that provide local search or have specific information for businesses as a virtual local yellowpages. The urge to go local may have its advantages due to several reasons, including greater awareness or familiarity. For example, in trying to identify places to visit or eat out (eg, local restaurants), going to spots nearby may be preferred since it is not just the food or service that you are paying for. Remember, the time spent (from making the decision to going there and actually spent there) has to be factored in considering that time is a precious resource into itself.

Local stuff or things may be generally good. Nonenthelees, don't forget the global perspective. As the adage goes, no man is an island.
