Computer drivers rev up digital experience |

Drivers are a programmed set of instructions needed by a computer's operating system (such as Windows, Linux, or Mac OS) in order to control or use an electronic device. Some of the devices that require computer drivers include disk drives, keyboards, printers, and digital videocams, or cameras. While there are drivers that are integrated with the operating system, such as the keyboard driver, there are other drivers that either have to be installed or downloaded from to make devices functional when connected to the computer. Some online sources for drivers include sites specializing on or dedicated to driver-specific products and services. Also, depending on the application, drivers can vary, eg, webcam drivers or Logitech drivers for webcams and monitor drivers for computer monitors.
Due to their utitlity and versatility, computer drivers can be said to raise the level of digital experience to a higher level. For we now know that the internet is not just about text and images, but about sound and videos, and more. And drivers are one of the reasons we can utilize these useful devices and share the output of their applications with others at that.
