Time is gold. Time is gold - not just like the metal but likewise for the priceless memories and timeless moments and countless opportunities that come our way in life's phases.

For today, we present an example of TIME gilded in physical gold via the Prague Astronomical Clock (also known as Prague Orloj) which is located at Prague, the Czech Republic. The Orloj consists of 3 main parts:

  • Astronomical dial: representing the position of the sun and moon
  • “The Walk of the Apostles,” a clockwork display on the hour of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures
  • Calendar dial marked with medallions to indicate the months

Time is gold. Among the golden parts of the Orloj are the Roman numerals, the curved lines, the star, and the sun. Although the Prague Orloj was among several complex clocks designed and constructed during the 14th and 15th centuries, it has survived to this day (after having been repaired by great Czech clockmakers) and has become a major tourist attraction.

As we all know, there is much more to the continuity of time than just physical structures. The values of discipline, expertise in craftsmanship, and attention to detail can be felt when witnessing this masterpiece. Come to think of it, when one values time, golden opportunities arise in several planes: 1) the precious moments shared with loved ones; 2) better chance of achieving success in one’s endeavors; and 3) greater likelihood of being remembered for posterity.
