Joan of Arc: Enduring Symbol of Courage Print E-mail

Joan of Arc It has been several centuries since her heroic exploits and dramatic death, but the memory of Joan of Arc continues to this day. Her image and legacy has been used by leaders like Napoleon and by writers such as Shakespeare. We do not all have to undergo the same ordeal that she went through in order to fully realize the magnitude and implications of her heritage.

By hurdling everyday's challenges, by remaining on course and steadfast to our dreams despite obstacles and skeptics, and by believing in the grace and blessings of Divine Providence, we can MEET, ACHIEVE, or even EXCEED our set goals for ourselves. Joan of Arc remains the quintessential role model for COURAGE and STANDING UP FOR ONE'S BELIEF AND CONVICTION. And importantly, is true across racial and gender boundaries.

Paris has it of course, but presented here is an image of Joan of Arc's statue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
